As you watch “Mr. Right” you get to direct where the story goes, making choices that result in 17 different potential endings—all driven through the power of Verizon’s 5G network. In this choose-your-own-adventure film we meet Sophia just as she’s received an invitation to her ex-boyfriend’s wedding. Still heartbroken, she attempts to win him back by passing off a newly developed robot (yes, really!) as her date.
A robotic boyfriend who will look and act as you say sounds like a dream scenario. So what better way to market the film, we figured, than to market the robot, Mr. Right, himself. We started by creating a brand for the fictitious makers of Mr. Right: ‘West Coast Robotics.’ Then we filmed a launch video, created an engaging Instagram presence, and developed promotional materials. All in an effort to convince people that real, programmable, hunky robots were coming to an app near them.
